Lot Essay

This fan was once part of and sold along with other paintings from the Sixuezhai Collection, which was owned by Wu Puxin (1897-1987), a well-known collector and banker. Several works of art originally owned by him are now part of the collections of such important museums as the Shanghai Museum and Princeton University Art Museum.
