KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Well painted with an amusing scene of a couple seated at a corner-leg table by a large floor screen painted with a rocky seascape, being entertained by two men on an adjacent terrace, one playing castanets and a drum while the other, wearing a tall hat and holding a halberd, dances energetically beneath overhanging blossoms and the moon and constellations above, the shoulder painted with decorative bands of ruyi heads, lappets, classic scroll and key fret, the slender neck with a raised bow-string band and painted with bamboo and pine in a rocky landscape, the everted rim encircled by a band of key fret
