Comprising two brushrests, one in the form of a mountain and the other an unfurled scroll; a rectangular paper weight; a brush washer; a water pot; a seal paste box and cover; an inkstone and cover; two reticulated incense boxes and covers; one faceted vase; and one quadrilobed brush pot; each molded and carved with scenes of blossoming prunus trees

Three similar biscuit scholar's desk sets, dated to the Guangxu period, some of which incorporate the same implements as can be seen in the present lot, are published by T. Miller and H.
