GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
Painted in Ming style with simulated 'heaping and piling', the globular body with a broad band of composite foliate scroll above a band of petal lappets, and repeated on the shoulder above a band of pendent trefoils, with a band of key fret encircling the base of the neck which is encircled by upright leaves and a further band of trefoils pendent below a border of froth-capped waves, the slightly spreading foot encircled by a band of classic scroll
