EARLY WARRING STATES PERIOD, 5TH-4TH CENTURY BC
Each slender bronze shaft inlaid in gold with three registers of scroll decoration within line borders, the triangular bronze tips with projecting spines, the opposite end undecorated, the end of one wrapped in fibers

Lot Essay

These arrow tips would have been inserted into a bamboo arrow shaft. The fiber wrapped around the slender end of the shorter arrow was probably used to make it fit more tightly into the bamboo shaft. As these arrows are inlaid in gold, they may have been used for ceremonial purposes.
