SECOND HALF 20TH CENTURY
Depicting the Aztecs versus the Spanish Conquistadors, the Aztec side unusually represented with two kings, the rooks modelled as pyramids and turrets respectively, on pedestal bases some inscribed with indistinct makers marks, the box with frieze drawer and foliate bone handle
The king -- 5¼ in. (14 cm.) high; the pawn -- 3½ in. (9 cm.) high; the board -- 21 in. (53.5 cm.) wide square (34)
