A Chinese ivory figure of Buddha seated on an elephant and a censer and cover
Circa 1900
The caparisoned elephant standing foursquare with its head turned to the side, wearing a headdress, carrying Buddha seated on a lotus throne, a flaming mandorla behind him, holding a jar and a ball in his hands, some damage and repair, 36 cm. high; and a censer and cover on tripod elepant-mask feet, applied with two handles, the pierced cover with elephant finial, 11.5 cm. high (2)
