The box and cover painted in the pencilled style with one of the Eight Immortals, probably Lan Caihe, with basket of flowers, frits; and a bowl painted to the central medaillon with a seated figure beside a fence looking at a waterfall in a mountainous river scene, surrounded by four shaped cartouches containing peaches and flowers, small rim chips and frittings, pierced hanging hole to the foot
