BOX: three tier with quarter round brass mouldings and brass stringing, inset side handles and ivory plaque to the front signed 'JAMES MUIRHEAD & SON/MAKERS TO THE ADMIRALTY/90 BUCHANAN ST. GLASGOW. 3799.', brass bowl and gimbal punch numbered '3799'; case key DIAL: the 115 mm. diameter silvered dial with subsidiary seconds and state of wind ring, signed 'JAMES MUIRHEAD & SON/MAKERS TO THE ADMIRALTY/90 BUCHANAN ST. GLASGOW. 3799.', gold main hands MOVEMENT: single chain fusee with maintaining power, sub-frame assembly with chain guard and carrying remainder of train and punch numbered '3799', Earnshaw-type detent escapement to cut bimetallic balance with Poole's auxiliary and cylindrical temperature compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring; tipsy winding key
