1964 CLAIR DAÜ
The Clair Daü estate began, as most estates did in the days following WWI, with a marriage. The union of Joseph Clair from Santenay and Marguerite Daü of Marsannay eventually produced three children and 38 hectares of vines in a famous domaine. In 1985, most of the best parcels were famously sold to Jadot following a long and bitter family feud. Wines from the golden era of the 60s are especially coveted among wine lovers today, with versions of the Musigny and Bèze among the best.

"(From a bottle with approximately 2 cm of ullage). A very ripe, ever-so-slightly alcoholic nose of impressive complexity leads to still youthful and impressively vibrant flavors that display a big, rich, intense and powerful finish that persists for several minutes. This is still young and while I would not expect future improvement, this should be capable of lasting another 20 to 30 years if well stored."
