The Mime

There is a study oil sketch (6½ x 5 in.) for the present work which was exhibited as follows: Bruton, Bruton Gallery, Michael Ayrton: Recurring Themes and Images: sculpture, paintings, drawings, reliefs and theatre designs, March - May 1981, no. 110: this exhibition travelled to Penarth, Turner House, National Museum of Wales; Bristol, The Clifton Arts Festival, Pelter Sands Gallery; and a tour of public art galleries in the South and West of England.
