With tapering curved dark horn body with cast and chased silver mounts in the form of two opposing crocodiles with their jaws open, the mouths each formed as a raised border of running foliage, the main panels decorated with foliage and flowers surrounding features such as eyes, the exposed area between the jaws with remains of velvet covering, the base encircled with a prominent roped silver band, the base itself formed as a large flower-head
