A FINE CAUCASIAN 60-BORE SILVER-GILT MOUNTED MIQUELET-LOCK PISTOL

With slender tapering barrel, characteristic lock with gold-lined maker's mark, the tang covered by a long nielloed silver band decorated with lines and an inscription, the stock and ball-pommel entirely encased with silver-gilt panels decorated in low relief with bands of beadwork and bands of chased scrollwork with nielloed silver borders, the fore-end en suite with false ramrod and forming three barrel-bands, nielloed silver button trigger, and hinged nielloed silver shaped pommel-cap with silver chain
