The following Lots (83-120) form the collection of Kurt Sigfred Nielsen of Fredericia, Denmark, and represent a life long interest in antique firearms. During the Second World War the 17 year old Kurt Nielsen joined the Danish resistance and aided downed airmen amongst other activities. The profound respect he developed for the British armed forces during this time matured after the war into a love of all things British. His career in manufacturing led to extensive travel in the United Kingdom where he acquired a majority of his collection over a thirty year period

With black leather pouch with silver flap engraved with a band of foliage around the edge and with applied regimental badge, on original silver-mounted red Morocco belt faced with silver bullion; together with A VICTORIAN PATTERN 1871 OFFICER'S HELMET OF THE NORTH SOMERSET YEOMANRY, with nickel skull, applied brass mounts including bands of laurel leaves and the regimental badge, brass chin-strap, and white horse hair plume
