With slightly swamped barrel engraved with a spray of foliage at the breech, engraved iron tang, border and scroll engraved rounded lock signed 'T. ARCHER', walnut full stock carved with a shell behind the barrel-tang, brass mounts including pierced side-plate, and original brass-capped ramrod with worm, London proof marks, maker's mark of Thomas Archer; together with A 12-BORE BRASS-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK PISTOL, CIRCA 1800, with three-stage swamped barrel signed 'LONDON' on the octagonal breech-section, iron tang, brass flat bevelled lock with worn signature, brass mounts, later ramrod
