With three-stage belled barrel with turned muzzle and signed 'DUBLIN' on the octagonal breech-section, iron tang, flat bevelled iron lock signed 'LANGSON' with traces of an Ordnance inspection stamp beneath the pan, walnut three-quarter stock, brass mounts including trigger-guard with acorn finial and butt-plate engraved 'SIR ROB.T HODSON BAR.T', and later brass-tipped wooden ramrod, the breech-section and butt-plate tang each with traces of Irish registration mark
