With swamped sighted three-stage barrel, engraved breech tang, rounded lock inscribed 'R BROOK', walnut full stock carved with a shell in low relief behind the barrel tang, lightly chiselled iron mounts, the trigger-guard with early acorn finial, silver escutcheon, pierced silver side-plate depicting a scimitar and a severed head, and brass-tipped ramrod, London proof marks
