With octagonal sighted barrel with recessed muzzle and with 'A. SCHWEITZER' script signature towards the breech, flat bevelled border engraved lock signed 'G. THOMSON' and with semi-rainproof pan and roller, figured striped maple full stock incised with scrolls, brass mounts including scroll engraved hinged patchbox-cover with pierced engraved brass surround and pistolgrip trigger-guard with characteristic Chambersburg Bedford County mouldings, set triggers, German silver escutcheon, and wooden ramrod
