With tapering twist sighted barrel signed 'LONDON' towards the breech, iron tang, flat bevelled border engraved lock signed 'H. NOCK' and with stepped tail, semi-rainproof pan and roller, walnut three-quarter stock with later applied leather cheek-pad and full length exposed ramrod-channel, regulation type brass mounts including fore-end cap marked with the number '8', iron sling mounts, and original swelling iron ramrod
