The bowl hammered with a flat base and sloping sides, the rim everted on the interior and exterior, the separately-cast handle with ornament in shallow relief on the upper surface, including long tongues along its length, volutes, a blossom and half palmettes at the join to the rim, a palmette with tendrils below the hooked terminal, an ivy leaf on the underside joined to the side of the bowl, the terminal in the form of a duck head
