A KHORASSAN BRONZE EWER
NORTH EAST IRAN, 9TH/10TH CENTURY
Rising from short foot to tall tapering cylindircal body with angled shoulder and tapering neck with slightly dropped trough spout, the simple beaded handle with pomegranate finial, a wide register below the shoulder engraved with elegant scrolling vine issuing palmettes which alternately face up and down, the neck with a series of engraved horizontal bands, rich red and green patination
