IRAN, LATE 13TH/EARLY 14TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, the main field moulded with a Persian inscription in large thuluth script highlighted in cobalt-blue, the ground with dense scrolls and foliage inhabitated by birds, the upper band with a frieze of mirroring palmettes, a moulded band with small cartouches below, with turquoise blue highlights, repaired breaks with restoration in upper band
