CENTRAL ASIA, 13TH/14TH CENTURY
Of square form, formed by two lozenge pieces of gold-embroidered silk of two different patterns folded and sewn together, one with large endless knots bordered by rosettes, the second with floral ground formed by lotus flowers, six-petalled rosettes and palmettes, the borders with a large flap to which is attached a long plaited yellow thread, two small hanging knots at each bottom corners, each with small beads made of leather, yellow and purple thread warped around a core, the interior lined with suede, folding marks, otherwise in good condition
