There are two contemporary scribes with the name 'Abd al-Ghani. They are both obsucre and only known by single recorded works (Mehdi Bayani, Ahval va Asar-e Khosh-Nevisan, Vol. II, Tehran, 1346 sh, pp. 406-7).

A number of later library notes and stamps on the fly-leaves suggest that the manuscript was at some point in India.
