The most famous known inscription of this type is amala Ghiyath and is found on a wide range of textiles in various institutions. A brocaded velvet in the Kier Collection also has a signature incorporated into the design (Friedrich Spuhler, Islamic Carpets and Textiles in the Kier Collection, London, 1978, no.96, p.171). Another panel from this textile was sold at Christie's, South Kensington, 19 October 2001, lot 80.
