TEHRAN, IRAN, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
Moulded and painted in polychrome over a white ground, the cobalt-blue field with a court scene with two princely figures sitting on a carpet at the centre of the composition, one offering the other a small glass, in a straight row behind them stand ten courtiers and before them a musician with two dancing girls and two maidservants, border with scrolling vine and perching birds, repaired breaks
