OTTOMAN TURKEY, PROBABLY 1ST HALF 17TH CENTURY
Comprising four tiles forming a rectangular panel of white ground painted in blue, green and bole-red with a pattern of continuous scrolling and interlacing arabesques framing a series of alternating rosettes and palmettes, the vine from which they issue with further smaller blue flowerheads, one tile repaired
Each tile 9 7/8 x 9 7/8in. (25.1 x 25.1cm.); panel 40 x 9 7/8in. (101.8 x 25.1cm.)
