Arabic manuscript on paper, 303ff. plus two fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of neat black naskh with gold and polychrome roundel verse markers, catchwords, spaces left for sura headings in cartouches upon gold illuminated panels, some sections marked in red naskh in the margins, others marked with gold and polychrome marginal medallions, opening bifolio with dense gold and polychrome illumination framing 7ll. of text in clouds reserved against gold ground, colophon signed Muhammad Shakir al-Halusi al-mashhur bi-Faqir (known as Faqir) min talamidh (pupil of) 'Ali al-Shukri wa 'Umar al-Wasfi al-Haj Pahlavanzade, in gilt and stamped brown morocco binding with paper doublures
