With single-edged slightly curved blade, decorated with extensive gold damascening in the form of large panels of floral design issuing a series of palmettes and including on one side a talismanic numerical grid and on the other lines of naskh and inscribed with the owner's name, Tatarcia (?) Husayn Agha and makers name, i'amal Sheikh (?) 'Ali Efendi, the chappe with further similar damascening, the ox horn hilt of typical form with split flaring pommel and set with four stones backed with small rosette finials, the cross guard with further damascened inscription, minor losses to damascening
