A REGENCY BRONZE AND GREEN MARBLE INKSTAND
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With twin hollowed wells and two bronze wells engraved with bands of guilloche with gilt bronze covers, a cental entwined snake handle and brass inscription plaque inscribed 'THIS INKSTAND BELONGED TO EDMUND BURKE AND WAS GIVEN BY HIM TO HIS FRIEND AND BIOGRAPHER WALKER KING, SOMETIME BISHOP OF ROCHESTER.'
