The cover with gold plaque later inscribed Jas.Patk.Crichton Stuart 1859, comprising dividers, tweezers, tortoiseshell-handled folding knife with steel blade, gold toothpick with spiral twist decoration and curved terminal, gold folding ruler and double-ended gold pencil with diagonal fluting
