AN EXTENSIVE FRENCH SILVER DINNER-SERVICE
Maker's mark of Keller, Paris, circa 1900, three dishes retailed by Keller
Each plain dish applied with lion's mask, human mask and two cartouches with monogram DC, the other pieces with handles terminating in masks, applied with similar monogram DC, comprising:
- Two circular deep dishes - 33 cm. (13 in.) diam.
- Seven circular dishes - the largest 33 cm. (13 in.) diam.
- Six oval dishes - the largest 70.5 cm. (28 in.) long
- Two pairs of sauce-boats, the larger pair with plated liners
- A cruet
- A bread basket - 38 cm. (15 in.) long
- Four circular covered entree-dishes with plated liners - 30 cm. (11 5/8 in.) wide
- Two double salt-cellars
- Two cylindrical mustard-pots with blue glass liners
- Four compotiers, each resting on four feet - 25 cm. (10 in.) diam.
- Eleven knife-rests
