Turin, circa 1840, maker's mark PB, probably for a member of the Borrani family
Fluted, each on shaped circular and domed base applied with Royal accolé coats-of-arms, with fluted baluster stem and vase-shaped nozzle, the bases engraved with weights, inventory numbers and date 1853, marked on bases and nozzles

Lot Essay

The coats-of-arms are those of Savoy for Victor-Emmanuel II who became King of Sardinia in 1849 and the first King of Italy in 1861. He married in 1842 Adelaïde, Archduchess of Austria.
