The domed base with champlevé enamel border and flower-heads in relief, the stem etched to simulate a tree trunk, applied with a coiled serpent and near the base with figures of Eve tempting Adam with the forbidden apple, the spherical cup with petalled mounts and pull-off cover with apple finial, the cup, base and cover etched with foliage and scrolls
