Jardinières decorated with carved lacquer are rare. A single jardinière of quatrefoil section with similar scenes is in the National Palace Museum, Taiwan (see Illustrated Catalogue of Lacquerware in the National Palace Museum, Taiwan, 1981, pl. 61).
