The broad curved blade with gold overlaid floral decoration and long calligraphic bands of Arabic verse in thuluth script, the hilt with similar decoration of birds and flowering vines, with further inscription on the guard and pommel, with two small gold medallions at the chappe possibly containing the signature and date, the steel corroded, minor losses to the inlay
