Each finely and realisticaly modelled standing on a turtle with their heads turned to the left and right, with gilt beaks and the crown picked out in red, the body in white enamel with diamond-shaped cloisons, the wings finely detailed emulating feathers and enamelled in bright tones of yellow, blue and green, the tail picked out in black enamels, the tall gilt legs incised to emulate skin, the turtles' carapaces with hexagonal cloisons enamelled in vivid tones of yellow, green and red enamels
