KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
Painted in the 15th century style with a frieze of lotus meander above a petal lappet band on the exterior and with a similar single lotus roundel in the interior

Lot Essay

An almost identical bowl in the National Palace Museum is illustrated in Blue and White Ware of the Ch'ing Dynasty, Hong Kong, 1968, Book 1, pp. 56-7, col. pls. 12, 12a and 12b.
