KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
Delicately potted with rounded sides rising from a tall straight foot and ending on a wide flaring rim, brightly painted around the exterior with four different scenes depicting court ladies at leisurely pursuits beside scholars and attendants, all divided by stylised rockwork, the interior with a central roundel enclosing boys at play, the wide rim with a band of lozenges filled with wan characters
8 in. (20.5 cm.) diam.
