Lot Essay

The double-spouted wine pot such as the one in the current lot is particularly rare; a similar example was sold in our Amsterdam Rooms, 5 December 2000, lot 182. A rectangular wine pot similar to the second in this lot but decorated with ladies was in the collection of the Hon. Mrs. Nellie Ionides and sold in these Rooms 6 November 2007, lot 219.
