Lot Essay

In terms of construction, form and style of decoration the present pendant relates very closely to another dating to the 17th century in the Berger collection, Vienna, (W. Hausler, Judaica: die Sammlung Berger : Kult und Kultur des europäischen Judentums, Munich, 1978, no. 705).
