CASE: the figures on engraved base inset to ebony and white-metal mounted plinth, later feet, mandorla lacking DIAL: revolving crown with hour ring, the time indicated by the Madonna's staff MOVEMENT: square plates secured by four turned and rear pinned pillars, single line fusee for the time train and fixed brass barrel for the strike train, replaced sprung verge balance, countwheel strike on bell
