Modelled by J.J. Kändler, as a shepherd seated crossed-legged on a mound beside a shepherdess with her head on his shoulder, a sheep on her lap and a dog at his side, he in red hat, yellow jacket, blue breeches and yellow shoes with red rosettes, she in turquoise bodice, white blouse and apron, tan skirt with an Oriental flowered hem and striped shoes, on a mound base applied with flowers and foliage (his right arm and hand and head of sheep restored replacements, chips and restoration to extremities, crack to base and her skirt)
