Lot Essay

Piling means laying things over one another, for instance as in a collage. You could compare the principle of connection with an endlessly long dolly shot with a film camera. I am also after that sort of expressive abstraction of reality.

(Thomas Scheibitz, Bannister Diamond, exh. cat, Amsterdam, 2001, pp. 15-16).
