A Louis XV vase clock of the same model in a case by Gaulier with porcelain panels to the plinth sold Christie's New York, 20 May 2008, lot 372 ($20,000). Its movement was signed Saint Jean and dated 1768. Another vase clock of this design sold, Christie's Paris, 13 December 2006, lot 339 (19,200 euros).

Received as Master in 1758, Adam L' Echopie had premises at rue Neuve-des-Petits-Champs. He had an important production of decorative clocks using cases by F. Goyer, J. and J.J. de Saint-Germain, L. P. Thomire, F. Vion, M. Poisson and Osmond.
