Lot Essay

Princess Augusta of Bavaria, Duchess of Leuchtenberg (1788-1851), married to Eugene de Beauharnais, only son of Josephine de Beauharnais and Alexandre, vicomte de Beauharnais and stepson of Napoleon. She was mother to Queen Josphine of Sweden (1807-76), married to Oscar I.
