Lot Essay

Compare with a six-petal shallow dish dated to the Northern Song dynasty carved with hibiscus, excaved in 1984 at the Huangbao kiln site, Tongchuan city, illustrated in Complete Collection of Ceramic Art Unearthed in China, 15, Shaanxi, Science Press, 2008, no. 121.
