Carved in square section of columnar form, the upper facing surface gently sloping, incised with a Dingmao cyclical date, corresponding to 1867, and signature, Youxu, on one vertical side, the base uncarved, the highly polished stone of golden honey tone

Lot Essay

The signature Youxu is the style name of the carver Pu Xin (? - 1874), who was a native of Hangzhou; and the cyclical Dingmao date probably corresponds to 1867.
