Modelled with rounded sides of lobed petal form, the exterior carved with two branches in openwork forming the handles, raised on three feet in the form of flowering prunus branches, the slightly indented underside base carved with Siqiao Shanren Zhang Yiru zhi, 'Made by Siqiao Shanren Zhang Jiru'

Lot Essay

Zhang Jiru (1870-1924) was a well-known carver who was active during the late Qing period. His style name was known as 'Jiqiao Shanren'.
