The ovoid body with a tall handle opposite a slender, arched spout, decorated to each side with an iron-red bat suspending a peach above an elaborate lotus spray issuing multi-coloured leaves, with a pair of shou characters picked out in gilt on the cover, and a third above the spout suspending an 'endless knot' on a beaded and tassled chain, the rims and finial gilt, the interior and base turquoise enamelled
